Well, I "generally" think it's not a good idea to use violence to solve anything, but now that I've learned how badly the child behaved, I understand what you mean better. I might get as mad as Yama-chan did.

But remember that contexts are always important, including the relationship between you and the kid in question (and his/her parent).
